Two more rough scenes from Becoming Brothers. These two would come just before the set posted last time.

Meanwhile, Art is over here dancing gleefully on, around, and through Wright’s continuing block.

Hah! Take that, writer’s block! Sorry to all of you who are waiting for more Harry Potter, but my original characters were demanding attention.

This is pretty much unedited, and I’ll probably look at it tomorrow and cringe, but it’s the most complete scene I’ve managed to write in a while, so oh well. Takes place kind of in the middle of the sci-fi/ fantasy thing I’ve been writing. (must… find… working…title…)

I don’t have much to say about the whole deletion fiasco, other than to point you here: http://community.livejournal.com/fandom_lawyers/37594.html and to say that I guess I’ll start backing up my LJ posts as well as my writing. I do feel for the people who got unfairly caught in the crossfire: one hard drive crash was enough to learn that losing that much work without warning is devastating. On that note, I’ve started a Greatest Journal account, here http://sister-dear.greatestjournal.com/, as a ‘just in case’ measure. I’m not going to stop posting to LJ- I honestly don’t think it would change a thing- but it’s good to have backup plans, yes?

Also, got a phone call today: Great Grandmother has passed on. Mom and Dad won’t be going to the funeral due to Mom’s recent bout of health issues, but my sister and I might. We want to, but as it would involve flying to the other side of the country, there are some details to be worked out.

Mom ended up in the emergency room this weekend and is supposed to be home tomorrow. Between helping Dad keep the house running, spending time at the hospital with her, and moving back in, I haven't really been up for personal writing. (Haven't forgotten! Honest!) Hopefully we’ll be back on track here soon.

I should know by now not to make personal resolutions right before finals week. *dies* Thank you all very much for the requests, it’s great to know what you’d like to see, but it will take a bit longer than I’d hoped for me to get to them. *headdesk* Um, till then, here’s a partially written scene from an original story.

A (possible) future scene for Becoming Brothers, in response to a request for Harry to reopen the manor at some point in the story. Takes place some time during or just before Tom’s seventh year at Hogwarts.

Warning: Slight spoilers for Becoming Brothers, but most of you have probably guessed it would happen anyway.

Should probably come up with a title for this sometime soon. Oh, and now might be a good time to mention that these aren’t going to be going up in chronological order. Shouldn’t matter to how they’re read, though.

Just in case it doesn't come up, Tom’s a fifth year in this story. (If I’m remembering right, he found out about the Chamber of Secrets in his second year, but didn’t actually get into it until his fifth. Um, if that’s not canon, just pretend it’s true for the purposes of this fic.)

Itch

First part of a short ficlet involving Tom Riddle, Harry Potter, and unashamed fun with time travel and animagus forms. Started this over a year ago, am re-writing it in bits and pieces when I don’t feel like working on anything else. Not related to my other Harry Potter fanfics in any way.
